Email Management
|

Email Accounts
|
Create and manage your own email accounts, add accounts for your colleagues, friends etc. Both POP3 and IMAP are supported.

|
Check your email from anywhere in the world. You can use webmail instead of your usual desktop application (eg Outlook)

Box Trapper
|
Create a whitelist so that only people on it can send you email, good protection against SPAM.

|
Setup email forwarders. Have your email delivered to a different address

Auto Responders
|
When someone send you a message the server will send out an automatic reply, good for if you're going out of the office for a few days, you can add details of an alternative contact for example.

Default Address
|
The default email address or "catch all" is disabled on our servers to prevent huge amounts of spam mail being saved. You must therefore ensure you have specific named email accounts setup on your account.

Mailing Lists
|
Mailing lists can simplify sending messages to a large group of people, ideal for news letters etc. Use with caution though as large volume email can be suspected as SPAMMING and could result in suspension of your account.

Email Filtering
|
Create account level filters or for each individual email account.

|
Spam/Virus Protection
|
You can use our MailFoundry Anti-Spam hardware as an option to combat spam.

Spam Assassin
|
Another layer of protection to help combat SPAM.

File Management
|
|
Backups
|
You can download a full backup of your website including email config and mySQL databases. You should do this as good housekeeping.
|
|
Backup Wizard
|
This feature allows you to restore parts of your cPanel by uploading your partial backup zip file(s) that you downloaded from the backup feature.
|
|
File Manager
|
Instead of using a FTP client to upload files you can use your File Manager with your web browser.
|
|
Web Disk
|
Easily drag and drop files to your hosting account with Web disk, once configured you can then drag and drop files to it just like they are part of your home computer. A very handy feature for those unfamiliar with FTP etc.

Disk Space Usage
|
You can use the viewer to view all of the files in your site and find out how much space each file takes up.
|
|
FTP Accounts
|
Create FTP accounts to provide secure file access to other users. You can use FTP to upload your site to your hosting space (or the cPanel File Manager) FTP login details are provided in your sign up email.
|
|
FTP Session Control
|
See who is currently logged into your site through FTP, you can also terminate any FTP connections to your site that you feel should not be open.
|
|

Logs
|
|
Latest Visitor Stats
|
View the recent visitors that have accessed your site.
|
|
Bandwidth
|
Check the current month's bandwidth usage as well as your total bandwidth usage. You should keep a close eye on your useage.

Raw Access Logs
|
You can use the Raw Access Logs menu to download a zipped version of the server's access log for your site. There are some programs out there which will analyse your raw logs.

Error Log
|
This displays the last 300 errors for your site. This is useful for determining what links are broken on your site or what files do not exist that should. This is a great way of streamlining your site and getting rid of broken links etc.

Awstats
|
Awstats produces visual statistics (graphs etc) about visitors of your site. Includes such things as their probable location and the browser they used, see our screen shot of an Awstats screen

Directory Protection
|
You can secure folders against unauthorised access with a username/password. Good for membership based sites or sharing certain information with only trusted people.

IP Deny Manager
|
You can block a range of IP addresses from accessing your site

Hotlink Protection
|
Prevents other websites from directly linking to files on your website.
|
|
GnuPG Keys
|
GnuPG is a publicly available encryption scheme that uses the "public key" approach. Messages are encrypted using a "public key" however, they can only be decrypted by a "private key", which is retained by the intended recipient of the message.

|
Create mySQL databases/users.Many applications use mySQL to store information including many of those in your Fantastico suite of software.

|

Error pages
|
With this tool you can create custom error pages to display when a user enters a wrong URL, an outdated URL or when the user is not authorized to access a specific directory of your web space.

Cron jobs allow you to automate certain commands or scripts on your site.

MIME Types
|
Mime types tell browsers how to handle specific extensions. For example, the text/html mime type equates to .htm, .html, and .shtml extensions on most servers.
